Technology, Analytics, and Emerging Transportation & Logistics Trends at KBX Logistics.

 

Presentation Summary

Brian will provide a brief intro of himself (academic and professional path), a brief summary of who Koch Industries (KBX Logistics & GP) is, and then dive into the application of the topics of the presentation in our world and discuss industry trends/topics that are most relevant today to have more of an open dialogue and provide a point of view.

 

Meet our Speaker

Brian Figueroa

Brian Figueroa currently holds the position of Director, Logistics at KBX Logistics. He is responsible for transportation within Koch Industries which includes Georgia-Pacific North American Consumer Products, Packaging and Harmon® Divisions for the newly combined South region and manages over $400 million in annual freight spend. KBX Logistics is also working with Molex, INVISTA, Koch Knight, Glitch, and Guardian Glass to name a few. Brian has worked in transportation, logistics, and supply chain for 9 years.

 

Brian began his career with Georgia-Pacific in 2011 through the Supply Chain Internship Program, a six-month co-op in Georgia-Pacific’s transportation department in Green Bay, WI as a transportation planning specialist during his junior year of college. Brian has held several positions in transportation. He started his first full time position with Georgia-Pacific in transportation in June 2013 as a Transportation Analyst. He was promoted to West Region Team Leader – Transportation for Georgia-Pacific in October 2014. He was then promoted to his the position of Regional Transportation Manager-Southeast Region, at KBX Logistics in April 2016 and took over the South region as well as part of his reponsiblity in December of 2019. Brian was recently promoted into his current role of Director, Logistics this October (2020).

 

Brian received a bachelor’s degree in Operations & Technology Management with a specialization in Supply Chain Management from University of Wisconsin-Madison. He has a passion for supply chain and enjoys working through cross functional supply chain initiatives along with returning back to his alma mater to give a guest lectures each semester.  Brian lives in the Green Bay area with his wife, Ashley, and they enjoy traveling the world whenever possible.
